Overview

Troy Andrew Smith ain’t no wannabe cowboy, he’s the real than. Raised up in the great bluestem grass country of north east Oklahoma, he’s all about ranching and real work ’cause he’s done it. Rode the ride, swung the rope and been bucked off as well as topped some tough ones. So whether he’s working on a western movie set, team roping  or helping a neighbor get their cattle up, he’s a hand. And I don’t guess there are many instruments a cowboy can’t pick up and entertain you with. If they still made movies like Roy and Gene did, he’d fit right in the lead role.

Today’s latest book, From Across the Campfire, is full of stories, articles about the west, and poetry told like you were there right across the fire ring from him.

Troy Andrew Smith writes about what he knows and knows what he is writing about. He was born a cowboy in the cowboy country of Northeast Oklahoma. Over the years, he earned his living as a ranch hand, riding feed lots and packing dudes into the Rocky Mountains in both Montana and Wyoming.
